We offer a complimentary 10-minute consultation over the phone. It’s vital that you feel comfortable with your therapist before doing a full session. If you want to confirm that we’re a good fit for each other, or have questions about my practice and method, let’s chat.
If you book an online session, cancellation of a virtual session is non-refundable.
If you book an in-person session, all appointments cancelled less than 24 hours prior to your appointment time will be billed at the full session fee. If you pay online for an in-person session and you cancel 24 hours in advance, you will be refunded the session fee you paid within 5-7 business days. Please keep in mind that Monday appointments must be cancelled, at the latest, the Friday prior to your session.
Our first session will focus on getting to know each other, and getting an understanding of your circumstances to see how I can be of help. If you haven’t filled out the Consent to Treatment form and additional forms ahead of your visit, you will be asked to fill those out. Through a series of Q&A, we will identify and assess your situation to determine next steps. This is also an opportunity to ask me questions about my background, my work, my process, and why my approach to counseling would be a good fit for you.
I believe that the road to growth and healing isn’t fixed. This is why I offer an honest and solution-focused approach that will allow you to discover new possible paths to your existing situation. I believe people don't just need someone that listens, people need a support system that makes the road less bumpy and easier to cope with.
There is no set time for the length of therapy, as it all depends on the goals we establish together and your own personal therapeutic journey. Sessions are 50-60 minutes unless you require more time. Longer sessions may be available upon request.
